Pension Reserve Fund assets
Assets of the Pension Reserve Fund may be in the form:
- Shares,
- Debt securities,
- Shares in investment funds,
- Money market instruments,
- Deposits with banks,
- Futures and options and other finantial derivatives and
- Projects with contractual co-financing or other financial agreements in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with international financial organizations and multilateral development banks (joint ventures), sharing the investment risk.
As of 31st of May 2010 the assets of the Pension Reserve Fund was allocated 88.13% in the shares and 11.87% in non-corporate enterprises. Value of the assets at the time of establishment was estimated at 274,812,575.00 BAM. After the begining restructuring process of Fund Portfolio in 2011, the assets on 31st of December 2011 was allocated 81.42% in shares, 12.26% in non-corporate enterprises and 7.42% in Bonds, Bank Deposits, Cash and Receivables. A year later, on 31st of December 2012 bonds, deposits with banks and cash took a share of 12.40% of Fund Portfolio, and then at the end of 2013 share was 17.22%. At the end of 2021, the restructuring process resulted with 33.16% of bonds, deposits and cash in Fund Portfolio.
Traditionally, pension funds are conservative investors who prefer the security of investments. The long-term goal is to achieve such Pension Reserve Fund portfolio structure in which dominant share will have debt securities, money market instruments and bank deposits.
Pension Reserve Fund may not grant loans and credits.
